1. Norm Core Nick (27 points): Nothing crazy here - Nick racked up points for making out with Kaitlyn, for the last rose of week 7 and for heading into the Fantasy Suite. It's important to note that Nick did not receive any points for coitus confirmation in the Fantasy Suite. I expect both Ben and Shawn to receive confirmation points next week, as I anticipate Kaitlyn making some comment about all the relationships "being up to speed".
2. Shawn (19 points): Shockingly, Shawn was not able to score any makeout points this week as he and Kaitlyn kept their dates serious. He did credit for the first rose of week 7 and for "Right Reasoning" Nick. I love the drama between these two, although I wonder how much of it is producer forced. Why did Nick feel it was necessary to trash Shawn in front of Kaitlyn? Why did Shawn decide to go to Nick's room? Who knows, but expect this drama explosion to play out next week.
3. Ben H (10 points): Another beautifully calm week for Ben H. In the messiness that is the Shawn-Nick rivalry, Ben is the calming presence. I can almost guarantee that he will make it to the final two - I can't see Kaitlyn taking both Nick and Shawn to the end. I thought that Shawn should have given Kaitlyn an ultimatum last week, and I wouldn't be surprised if he gives her one this week. Back to Ben: he got credit for a week 7 rose and making out with Kaitlyn.
Questionable Moment(s) of the Week:
"Are you a virgin?" - Kaitlyn
"No, but its nice that you think I'm innocent and pure-hearted" - Ben H
Quick Take: Not sure where Kaitlyn was getting that vibe from. Despite Ben's stoicism, he definitely does not come across as a virgin to me. Maybe it's from being on a show with two self-proclaimed virgins last season? Also - as a guy in that scenario, regardless of if you're a virgin or not I think you have to tell Kaitlyn you're not, right?
"We had sex" - Kaitlyn
*Ten minute bathroom break during which no urination occurred*
"I'm just going to man up and deal with it" - Shawn B
Quick Take: I was stunned by how well Shawn controlled himself in that scene. He didn't chug his beer, he didn't turn too red. He must have been insanely sober. He actually came back from the bathroom controlled and seemed to handle the situation almost as well as Ben H would have. The only person more surprised by his reaction then myself was probably Kaitlyn. (Disclaimer: we have not seen how the confrontation with Nick goes)
Power Ranking the Teams:
1. Milli: I expect Milli to surpass "Team Undrafted" next week as Shawn has yet to rack up his Fantasy Suite points and I expect him to be in it until the end. Shawn will end up as the high point scorer for the season (excluding Nick) and Milli is deservedly cruising to an easy victory.
2. Team Undrafted: See above - I expect Nick to go home this week but the lead should be enough to stay out in front of Ben H and Team Wiz.
3. Team Wiz: Ben H just needs to rack up 10 more points for Team Wiz to surpass Team K in the standings. So unless he declines the Fantasy Suite, Wiz should slide up the standings. Ben H has consistently delivered week to week and has proved worthy of the overall number 2 pick.
4. Team K - all players eliminated
5. Team E - all players eliminated
6. Team A - all players eliminated
Conclusion: Maybe Milli and Wiz actually know something about reality TV? We'll see how the league plays out for The Challenge this fall.
